If you frequent blogs, you have probably heard of these guys before. They are an up and coming Hip-Hop/Jazz band who's been building quite a buzz since they beat out over 1000 bands to earn 2nd runner up in last year's Lollapalooza's Last Band Standing Competition. With experience that Miami.com says is “the fast track to stardom” to a live show that the Miami New Times says "get[s] butts moving", this fusion band has the potential to do big things. In the past year and a half, ArtOfficial has shared the stage with the likes of KRS-One, The Sugarhill Gang, Pharaoh Monch, and Buckshot as well as performing at 2007’s Rock the Bells festival headlined by the Wu-Tang Clan and Nas as well as winning first place at the Florida Grammy Showcase.

ArtOfficial has recorded a full-length follow up to their much praised and independently released EP, Stranger. The album, titled "Fist Fights and Foots Races," is distributed in Japan via Goon Trax/Media Factory and has proved to be a hot seller since its release in early April 2008, peaking at #4 on the Tower Records Charts. They will be releasing a mixtape via illroots.com soon, sometime before their U.S. debut album drops. Check out the acclaimed Stranger below.
