I must admit....at the end of '07, I remember having a discussion with someone about Weezy's place historically. I couldn't really give him best rapper without the album out and thought his all time spot couldn't be top 20 without the mainstream appeal of a Jay-Z or Kanye. But after this year, I don't think anyone has ever moved to the mainstream so seamlessly as Lil Wayne. He has been everywhere and knowing how he works, I am happy for him since he deserves it.
